Job summary

Southgate Primary School is seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our committed team on a permanent basis. You will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support for pupils with significant needs and promote independence within an inclusive learning environment.

Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in English and Maths (C/4 or above), experience with complex needs, and a strong safeguarding ethos.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience in working with children with significant and complex needs.
• Ability to assist with pupils' personal care, administer medication or provide health care per school policy and IHCPs.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

What we're looking for:

• A good general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• Experience in working with children with significant and complex needs
• Ability to assist with pupils' personal care, administer medication or provide health care in line with school policy and Individual Health Care Plans
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The Details

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Associate 2 - £24,751

Actual Salary: £21,441.00

Hours: Term Time Only (39 Weeks) - 36.25hrs per week
