Job summary

GLF Schools’ Southgate Primary School in Crawley seeks a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join on a permanent basis. You will support pupils with significant needs, collaborate with staff and families, and help create an inclusive learning environment.

The role requires safeguarding commitment, teamwork, and the ability to promote independence for students across the school community. This is a rewarding, long-term position within GLF’s network.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Experience in working with children with significant and complex needs.
  • Ability to assist with pupils' personal care, administer medication or provide health care in line with school policy and Individual Health Care Plans.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored SEND support to pupils to help them access an engaging, inclusive learning experience.
  • Work closely with teachers, families and external professionals to support students' progress.
  • Promote independence and assist with personal care when needed in line with school policy.
  • Contribute to safeguarding practices and maintain a safe learning environment.

Southgate Primary School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our committed team on a permanent basis.

What we're looking for:

The Details

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Associate 2 - £24,751

Actual Salary: £21,441.00

Hours: Term Time Only (39 Weeks) - 36.25hrs per week
