Job summary

St Matthew's Catholic Primary School in Prudhoe is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our caring team from mid October.

You will support class teachers, deliver phonics programmes, and work with SEND pupils to review short-term targets. Strong communication with parents and a collaborative approach are essential to help every child progress.

Qualifications

• Be an enthusiastic and motivated practitioner with high expectations.
• Be willing to join our staff team to improve outcomes and participate in school life.
• Understand needs of SEND students and support SEND targets reviews.
• Experience delivering a Phonics programme.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Collaborative and cooperative teamwork.

• Be willing to join our staff team to further improve outcomes for our children and participate fully in the life of our vibrant school.
• Have an understanding of the needs of SEND children across our nurturing and inclusive school, supporting class teachers in reviewing short term SMART targets on SEND support plans.
• Have experience of delivering a Phonics programme.
• Be able to work with parents to provide the very best support for all our children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A collaborative and cooperative approach to teamwork.

Location: St Matthew's Catholic Primary School, Highfield Lane, Prudhoe, Northumberland, NE42 6EY

Grade: Grade G, SCP 19-23 (£32,061 - £34,434 per annum, pro rata)

Hours: Full Time, 30 Hours Per Week, Permanent, Term Time Only plus 3 days
