Job summary

Wincanton Primary School is seeking a highly skilled HLTA to provide cover across KS1 and KS2, both planned and unplanned. The candidate would require to have knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculums and demonstrate a good understanding of the grammar and mathematics taught at these levels.

Qualifications

• Outstanding practitioner with HLTA experience.
• Knowledge of KS1/KS2 curriculums and end of key stage expectations.
• Good listening and questioning skills to support pupils.
• Ability to challenge and support learning and demonstrate initiative.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing school day demands.
• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned and unplanned cover across KS1 and KS2.
• Support and monitor pupil learning and behaviour.
• Adapt to the needs of the day and contribute to active learning.
