Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Bishop Stortford

Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Bishop Stortford

Salary: £100-£110 per day

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and confident HLTA who enjoys working with children and wants the flexibility that supply work can offer. You'll have the opportunity to take on a higher level of responsibility within primary school settings, supporting teachers and pupils.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.


• Leading whole-class sessions and lessons when required.


• Working with individuals and small groups to support learning and development.


• Delivering targeted interventions to help pupils make progress.


• Supporting pupils with different learning needs and abilities.


• Providing cover for classes when required.


• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.


• Supporting pupils to stay focused, motivated and engaged with their learning.


• Working closely with teachers and other members of staff to support pupil progress.


• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and schools across different settings.


• Adapting quickly to different classrooms, year groups.

• Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or in a similar education role.
