Job summary

Yeovil College is seeking an Institutional Outreach Officer to inspire and raise aspirations in young people across the South West. You will lead outreach activities, coordinate NSSW collaboration, and work with schools, colleges and universities to promote Higher Education opportunities.

You will plan events, arrange visits, and create resources while monitoring impact. A Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience is required, and there is a strong emphasis on widening access and working

Qualifications

• Experience delivering outreach activities and coordinating partnerships across regions.
• Knowledge of Higher Education (UCAS, student finance, progression routes) or willingness to develop this knowledge.
• Collaborative approach with commitment to widening access and supporting disadvantaged students.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver engaging outreach activities and events.
• Organise university visits and student ambassador opportunities.
• Develop resources and monitor impact of activities to track progress.
• Build strong relationships with schools and partner organisations across Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.
• Share knowledge to help young people understand options for Higher Education.
