Yeovil College is seeking an Institutional Outreach Officer to inspire young people and raise aspirations about Higher Education across Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. You will plan and deliver outreach activities, organise visits, and develop resources in collaboration with the NSSW partnership.
You will build strong relationships with schools and partners, support learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, and guide students through UCAS, finance and progression routes.
Make a real difference to young people's futures as our Institutional Outreach Officer at Yeovil College. You'll inspire the next generation, raise aspirations and open doors to Higher Education through engaging activities and partnerships across the region. Bring your passion for supporting young people to a varied and rewarding role where you can make a lasting impact. Working as part of our Higher Education team and the Next Steps South West (NSSW) collaboration, you'll plan, coordinate and deliver engaging outreach activities that encourage more young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to progress into Higher Education. From organising events, university visits and student ambassador opportunities to developing resources, supporting learners and monitoring the impact of activities, you'll see projects through from start to finish. You'll build strong relationships with schools and partner organisations across Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, sharing knowledge and helping young people understand their options, from university applications and student finance to the support available in Higher Education. If you're organised, enjoy working with people and want a role that combines creativity, collaboration and a genuine sense of purpose, this is a great opportunity to make your mark while supporting the continued development of Higher Education at Yeovil College.
