Job summary
Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking an IT Advisor to deliver first and second line technical support to students and staff across the university. You will install and configure workstations to university standards, diagnose faults, and resolve IT hardware and software issues promptly.
You will also support university AV equipment and contribute to a friendly, collaborative IT team that values inclusive, customer-focused service across campus.
Qualifications
- HND / Degree in IT related subject or professional certifications with proven experience.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to individuals from a variety of backgrounds and professional levels.
- Experience of providing customer support.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Knowledge of audio / video technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to students and staff.
- Install and configure workstations to Cardiff Metropolitan University standards.
- Diagnose and resolve IT hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Provide support for university audio/visual equipment and respond to issues as required.
