Job summary

The Resolute Group is recruiting a Protection & Control Engineering Manager to lead HV substation projects across the UK. You will oversee P&C design, SCADA and automation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and major electricity network operators such as National Grid and SSEN.

Based in Motherwell, this permanent role offers technical leadership, design governance, and involvement in tenders and bids to support major UK infrastructure programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng/MEng), HV focus preferred.
• Strong experience in Protection & Control design for HV substations (132kV–400kV).
• Knowledge of relays, control systems, SCADA and substation automation.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design delivery on site of Protection & Control systems for HV substations (132kV–400kV).
• Manage SCADA and substation automation system designs to meet client requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with UK electricity network standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, mechanical and commissioning teams for integration.
• Review submissions from consultants, equipment manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement, technical innovation and knowledge sharing.
