Job summary

Imperial College London is seeking a highly motivated researcher to advance mass spectrometry workflows at the London Biofoundry, collaborating with a global team. You will design automated sample preparation and analyze samples across screens and metabolomics/proteomics campaigns.

The post is full-time (35h/week), fixed-term for 24 months from Oct 2026, with potential for extension. Officially the role accommodates PhD status with salary guidance for non-PhD applicants.

Qualifications

• PhD required or in progress. Salary range for non-PhD candidates is £45,399–£48,876 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel workflows for high-throughput mass spectrometry.
• Design and execute automated sample preparation workflows.
• Collaborate with international partners and the London Biofoundry team.
