Job summary

The University of Oxford’s Centre for Medicines Discovery is recruiting a Research Assistant in Proteomics to support LC-MS/MS workflows and data analysis within a collaborative setting.

You will prepare samples, operate mass spectrometry instruments, and contribute to high-throughput workflows while analyzing data and supporting publications. A Master’s degree and hands-on proteomics experience are essential.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or analytical chemistry is essential.
• Hands-on experience with sample prep for bottom-up proteomics is required.
• Experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and data analysis is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for mass spectrometry and operate LC-MS/MS systems.
• Perform high-throughput proteomics workflows and instrument maintenance.
• Analyse proteomics data using statistical tools and software.
• Track projects, samples, and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Produce reports and visual outputs for collaborators and publications.
