Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to work in Newcastle. The role involves trunking between depots, pulling curtains for side tip deliveries, and completing daily vehicle checks with accurate paperwork.

Applicants must have a UK Class 1 license, 2 years of Class 1 experience, and a valid Digital Tachograph Card. The position offers varied shifts, regular, reliable work and immediate starts with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
• At least 2 years' commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• A professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots and distribution centres.
• Pulling curtains for side tip deliveries during curtain sider operations.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time.
• Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and Road Transport regulations.
• Completing all relevant paperwork and electronic records accurately.
