Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester for the remainder of the autumn term and beyond. Opportunities may include daily cover, short-term work and longer-term placements starting in November 2026 onwards.

We are seeking confident practitioners who can take responsibility for learning activities, lead interventions and provide effective classroom support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, while maintaining positive behaviour

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent with relevant responsibilities and experience.
• Recent UK school experience within the last two years.
• Experience leading learning activities or groups of pupils.
• Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
• Professional safeguarding approach.

Responsibilities

• Support or deliver lessons under the school's direction.
• Lead small-group interventions and structured learning sessions.
• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Adapt activities to meet pupils' learning needs.
• Monitor engagement and feedback to teachers.
• Take responsibility for groups or classroom activities where appropriate.
