Job summary

Newrest in the United Kingdom is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver to join our airport logistics team. You will drive between depots and aircraft stands, transport catering trolleys, meals and equipment, and ensure loads are secured and documented in line with company policy.

You must hold a UK HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and a Tachograph card. Previous airline catering or logistics experience is preferred, and you should be able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• UK HGV Cat C (Class 2) licence.
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous airline catering, logistics or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
• Team player who can effectively manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle and loading areas.
• Ensure vehicle is security checked and sealed before departure with documentation.
• Drive HGV2 (Class 2) to transport catering trolleys, meals, beverages, and equipment to aircraft stands or airport terminals.
• Load aircraft as per galley plans and company policy.
• Load and unload catering on and off the truck safely and promptly.
• Drive onto aircraft as trained, without deviation.
• Minor maintenance of vehicles (top-up screen wash, AdBlue).
• Drive in compliance with airport, DVLA and local rules.

Roles andResponsibilities

1. Performpre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as standard security and safetyprotocol and report any issues immediately.
2. Maintaincleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle and loading areas.
3. Ensurevehicle is security checked and sealed by an authorised staff member beforedeparture with completed specified documentation.
4. Drive HGV2(Class 2) trucks to transport catering trolleys, meals, beverages, andequipment to aircraft stands or airport terminals.
5. Loadaircraft as per the galley plans and adhering to company policy.
6. Load andunload catering on and off the truck at the unit and aircraft in a safe andtimely manner.
7. Drive on toaircraft as per your training, ensuring you do not deviate from it at anypoint.
8. Minormaintenance of vehicles i.e., top-up screen wash, ad-blue.
9. Alwaysdrive adhering to airport, DVLA and local rules and or law.

EssentialSkills and Requirements
