VEKA UK in Burnley is seeking a Class One (HGV) driver for our Transport team to deliver PVCu products to sites across the UK and Northern Ireland. You will ensure on-time delivery, accurate handover of merchandise and compliance with tachograph and documentation requirements.
The role requires driving safely and efficiently, flexibility to cover busy periods and occasional night shifts, and a CPC card and HGV1 licence. We offer rewards including pension and life assurance.
We are currently looking for a Class One (HGV) driver to join our Transport team, ensuring the delivery of plastic, steel and associated products (stillages) to sites in the UK and Northern Ireland using both Articulated and Wagon and Drag HGV vehicles.
You will be responsible for the on-time delivery of orders, handling customer merchandise efficiently and ensuring complete accuracy, in order to maintain an outstanding level of service to customers.
You will take pride in your ability to drive in a safe, lawful and fuel efficient manner, having selected routes by giving due regard to weight, height, width and road restrictions, with the emphasis on economy of movement.
You will also demonstrate your “Can Do” approach by providing cover during busy periods and to provide holiday and absence cover within the department.
