Job summary

VEKA UK is seeking an extrusion operator to join the Extrusion team in the manufacturing of PVC-U profiles. You will operate extrusion lines, perform quality checks and maintain production records to ensure efficient, safe operations.

The role offers a 4-shift pattern (12 hours per shift) including days and nights, with a starting salary of £33,742.80 per year and opportunities for development within the company.

Qualifications

• Able to work a 4-shift system with 12-hour days (7:00–19:00) and nights (19:00–07:00).
• Enthusiastic with a passion to learn.
• Basic machining knowledge would support an application, although not essential.
• Quality awareness is essential for production.
• Seeking a long-term career with development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines to manufacture high-quality PVC-U profiles, ensuring production runs efficiently and safely.
• Monitor product quality through regular visual and dimensional inspections, taking action to resolve issues where required.
• Complete production records and quality documentation accurately in line with company standards and procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues to manage multiple production lines and maintain effective communication across shifts.
• Promote high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and continuous improvement within the department.
• Develop skills through structured training, with the opportunity to progress towards a Process Technician role.
