Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is recruiting experienced Terberg Shunter Drivers for our Glasgow Depot. This permanent, full-time night-shift role offers enhanced rates for overtime and weekend work. You will help keep vehicle movements safe and efficient, with a monthly pay schedule and a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Location is Glasgow, G32 8EY. Candidates should have Terberg experience, CPC and Tachograph cards, and a commitment to safe operations, with the ability to work independently

• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Limit of minor points; safe driving practices emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate yard movements and trailer handling using Terberg equipment.
• Perform driver, vehicle, and trailer safety checks.
• Ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Report defects and arrange maintenance as needed.
• Identify and manage potential safety risks.
• Collaborate with depot team to keep operations moving.

We’re recruiting experienced Terberg Shunter Drivers to join our Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution team at our Glasgow Depot (G32 8EY).

This is a permanent, yard-based role with no overnight stays, offering enhanced rates for overtime and weekend working.

The role at a glance

• Location: Glasgow, G32 8EY
• Contract: Permanent, Full Time
• Basic rate: £17.30 per hour
• Overtime: £19.46 per hour for hours worked over contracted hours
• Saturday: £21.92 per hour
• Sunday: £28.42 per hour
• No overnight stays
• Monthly pay

What you'll be doing

Working within our busy Glasgow yard, you'll play an important part in keeping vehicle and trailer movements running safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating onsite bay and trailer movements using Terberg equipment
• Carrying out driver, vehicle and trailer safety checks
• Ensuring vehicles and trailers meet the required safety and compliance standards
• Reporting defects and arranging vehicles or trailers into the workshop where repairs or maintenance are required
• Identifying and managing potential workplace and safety risks
• Working closely with the wider depot team to keep operations moving

What we're looking for

• Previous Terberg experience – essential
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 minor points on your driving licence, with no CDs, DDs, DRs or INs
• A strong approach to safety and compliance
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable and positive approach to work
• To be comfortable with the physical requirements of the role
