Job summary

Consult2Recruit is seeking an experienced HGV & Trailer Mechanic for a busy Eastleigh workshop. You will maintain, inspect, and repair a range of commercial vehicles and trailers, with responsibilities spanning brake testing, MOT preparation, welding, and fault diagnosis.

The ideal candidate holds an HGV Class 1 licence with CPC, has proven hands-on skills, and can work 40 hours weekly with occasional overtime. Competitive hourly rates apply; permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV Technician, Mechanic or Fitter.
• Licences and CPC as required.
• Ability to work flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out safety inspections and maintenance on HGVs and trailers.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and brake testing.
• Carrying out welding, fabrication and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnosing faults and servicing rigid and articulated vehicles.
• Working on curtain-sided and skeletal trailers and light CVs.
