Job summary
Talent Finder is seeking a skilled HGV Technician / Mechanic to service and repair a fleet of vehicles in Oxfordshire. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and carry out regular inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
The role requires owning your tools and working well within a team to maintain high standards of maintenance and PMI documentation. Weekly hours are Monday to Friday with Saturday overtime optional, offering competitive pay and opportunities for overtime.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician/Mechanic.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for servicing and fault finding.
- Experience with diagnostic and brake testing is essential.
- Own tools required; larger tools provided.
- Reliable and able to work independently or in a team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
- Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs.
- Conduct 6-weekly inspections.
- Brake testing and diagnostic testing.
- MOT preparation.
- Ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
- Maintain service records and PMI paperwork.
