Job summary

Paramount Personnel in North Somerset seeks a skilled HGV Technician for a temporary role. The workshop operates 6am–6pm, with 45 hours per week and overtime available.

You will perform comprehensive and preventative maintenance, repairs and MOT preparation, and diagnose faults to fit parts correctly and maximize downtime efficiency. A NVQ3 in Mechanics and an HGV licence (not essential) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Complete comprehensive and preventative maintenance, repairs and MOT preparation.
• Accurate fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with terms.
• Be able to work on own initiative and carry out work in a safe and timely manner.

HGV Technician – Temp – North Somerset

Rates of pay from £725 to £807 per week with overtime available (at overtime rates)

Location North Somerset

45 Hours per week in a workshop open between 6am and 6pm

Our clients are looking to employ a highly skilled technician to join their business which operates clean, modern and professional workshops and is the envy of many other operators.

You must be able to:

• Complete comprehensive and preventative maintenance, repairs and MOT preparation.
• Accurate fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with terms.
• Maximizing your productive time to ensure all KPI’s are achieved.
• Completing job cards and service sheets in a timely manner.
• Be able to work on own initiative.
• Carry out all work & repairs in a safe & timely manner exceeding DVLA standards.
• Detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair
• As a Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician you will ideally have a NVQ3 in Mechanics and an HGV license (not essential).
