Qualifications

• IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Several years’ post-qualification experience as an HGV technician.
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to perform complex repairs.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced workshop.
• Good team player with a professional approach to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all service and maintenance work to manufacturer standards within timeframes.
• Conduct accurate diagnosis and repairs of all malfunctions.
• Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations.
• Document diagnostics, repairs, services, and safety inspections thoroughly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.
• Work effectively within a busy workshop environment, supporting the team to achieve targets.

Join our client’s reputable commercial vehicle team as an HGV Technician in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled and experienced HGV technicians seeking a role with significant development prospects, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.

Our client, a leading dealer group with multiple centres across Southwest England, is looking for a dedicated HGV Technician to join their busy workshop in Gloucester.

• Competitive hourly rate of £20-£23, based on experience and shift pattern
• Rotating early and late shifts from Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings paid as overtime
• Overtime opportunities paid at time and a half
• 22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
