Job summary

Catering is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team for preventative maintenance and inspections. You'll carry out routine servicing, identify faults, and ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy. Full training and qualification support are provided to develop your skills in HGV maintenance.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with a salary of £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to progress within a supportive, team-based

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Technician, Mechanic or in a similar mechanical role.
• Some experience working with HGVs or commercial vehicles would be advantageous.
• A good understanding of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Reliable, practical and able to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections on HGV vehicles.
• Completing routine servicing, maintenance and safety checks.
• Identifying mechanical faults and carrying out necessary repairs.
• Ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard and are safe and roadworthy.
• Assisting with inspections and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Following company procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Working as part of a team to ensure vehicles are maintained and available for operation.
