NRG Riverside in Manchester’s Trafford Park area is seeking an experienced Night Shift HGV Technician to service, maintain and repair a range of HGVs and municipal vehicles. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs, and carry out routine inspections to keep fleets moving.

Qualifications

• HGV technical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Experience as HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Engineer or Fleet Engineer.
• Experience with RCVs or municipal vehicles would be a bonus.
• Experience with tacho and wheel alignment as well as commercial vehicle repairs.
• A Class 2 licence would be preferred.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety a customer-focused approach.

Responsabilités

• Attend breakdowns and perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs; tachograph calibrations and wheel alignment.

We're looking for an experienced Night Shift HGV Technician to join our growing team at Trafford Park, Manchester.

You'll work on a wide range of commercial vehicles, including HGVs and RCVs (Refuse Collection Vehicles), carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

And if you haven't worked on specialist vehicles before — don't worry.

What will you be doing?

As a HGV Technician you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs / commercial vehicles; diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs, as well as carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

You will also be responsible for attending breakdowns, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, as well as Tacho calibrations, repairs and wheel alignment.

You will prepare vehicles for MOT and carry out commercial vehicle / HGV MOT inspections, while makings sure paperwork completed and up to date.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who knows their way around HGVs and enjoys keeping vehicles moving.

You'll ideally have:

• A HGV technical qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent


• Experience as a HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Engineer or Fleet Engineer


• Experience with RCVs or municipal vehicles would be a bonus.
