Job summary

KAUTEC RECRUITMENT Ltd is recruiting an HGV Technician for a night-shift workshop role in Sheffield. Salary up to £54,000 per year, with overtime opportunities. Permanent, full-time position.

You will service and repair a variety of tractor units and rigid vehicles, performing inspections and maintenance to manufacturer guidelines. NVQ/City & Guilds or IRTEC advantageous.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified preferred; City & Guilds/NVQ/IRTEC or EV qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain a range of tractor units, flatbeds, curtain-sided and rigid vehicles.
• Carry out routine maintenance and MOT preparation.
• Perform scheduled servicing to DVSA standards.
• Complete 6 (or 8) weekly inspections as required.

Job description

Are you a fully qualified HGV Fitter, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Technician living in the Sheffield area looking for a workshop based role? Night Shift 6pm - 6am. Salary up to £54,000p/a. Monday night - Thursday night, set 4 nights. Permanent – Full time position.

The role of the HGV Technician:

You will be working on a variety of tractor units, flatbeds, curtain sided and rigid vehicles of differing ages. You will be carrying out inspections, repairing and maintaining vehicles within the manufacturer guidelines and timeframes.

The type of work as an HGV Technician you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to):

• Routine (and preventative) maintenance
• MOT preparation
• Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
• 6 (or 8) weekly inspections

Requirements for this HGV Technician position:

• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable but not essential.
• HGV licence, class 1 or 2 would also be advantageous.
