Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is looking for a Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of delivery vehicles at the Bracknell workshop. You’ll work to DVSA and Partnership standards to keep vehicles safe and roadworthy, with access to the tools needed to excel in your role.

The role offers permanent employment, 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rotating night shift, with nights from 22:00 to 06:00 during both weeks. Applicants must be over 18 and hold a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualifications.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be working on our large HGV lorries and ensure all vehicles are maintained to roadworthy standards.
• Complete inspection, service and defect sheets in compliance with O Licence obligations and daily time books.
• Apply best practices and current repair techniques to deliver high‑quality repairs cost‑effectively.
