Job summary

John Lewis operates a vehicle workshop in Bracknell and seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair our delivery fleet. You will work with experienced Partners to ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and compliant with DVSA and partnership requirements.

The role supports a 37.5-hour week on a two-week rotating night schedule, with a permanent contract. DBS/vetting may be required, and overtime is readily available.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualifications
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair our large HGV lorries to DVSA and Partnership standards
• Complete inspections, services and defect sheets daily and keep time books updated
• Apply best repair practices to ensure high quality repairs and cost efficiency
