Job summary

Recruitable Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Heavy Vehicle Technician for a specialist engineering contract based in Ashchurch. You will maintain, repair, service and refurbish heavy vehicles as part of an experienced engineering team.

You’ll perform servicing, diagnostics and fault finding on HGVs and related equipment, with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency. A BPSS clearance is sponsored and processed by the client, with an initial 3-month contract and ongoing work possible.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Experience with HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery or military vehicles.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and diagnostic skills.
• Basic electrical fault-finding experience.
• Able to obtain BPSS security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding.
• Vehicle inspections and defect rectification.
• Component removal and replacement.
• Preventative maintenance and overhaul work.
• Supporting vehicle refurbishment programmes.
