Job summary

Dennis Eagle UK is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to service, diagnose and repair a range of heavy vehicles in our workshop and at customer sites. You will help maintain safety, quality and reliability across fleets through planned servicing and proactive diagnostics.

The role requires NVQ3/City & Guilds 3 in Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance, substantial HGV experience, and strong fault-finding skills, with a focus on electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance.
• Experience maintaining and repairing HGVs, commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, plant or specialist vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of vehicle electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of specialist vehicles in workshop and at customer sites.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, high quality and reliable; prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.
• Record completed work accurately using workshop and fleet management systems; liaise with customers and colleagues.
