- 06:00am - 6:00pm
- 1.5-hour unpaid break
- 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off rota
- Overtime available and paid at 1.3x hourly rate

The Overtime Earnings Potential:
Based on a £43,000 salary:
- 5 hours per week overtime: Approx. £45,500 per annum
- 10 hours per week overtime: Approx. £48,000 per annum
- 15 hours per week overtime: Approx. £50,500+ per annum
The Role:
- Carry out planned servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on a fleet of predominantly Scania HGVs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
- Complete routine maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
- Strip, inspect and rebuild major vehicle components including engines, gearboxes, differentials and braking systems.
- Conduct vehicle testing and fault-finding to ensure maximum fleet reliability and compliance.
- Complete safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA requirements.
- Record maintenance activities accurately through workshop management systems.
- Support workshop efficiency by maintaining high-quality workmanship and productivity standards.
- Work collaboratively with fellow technicians and workshop management to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Adhere to all company health & safety procedures and best engineering practices.
The Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician (essential).
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent (essential).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.
- Proven ability to strip, inspect and rebuild vehicle components.
- Experience working on Scania vehicles would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to
