An opportunity has arisen for an HGV Technician to join our client’s successful team in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.

Overview of role:

You will carry out safe and efficient inspections, services, and repairs of all vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment in line with scheduled and operating procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure repairs meet or exceed standards set by DVSA.
• Perform duties following safety, environmental, and maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with VMU shift Co-ordinator / FLM and Logistics team to ensure vehicle availability according to delivery schedules.
• Achieve shift KPIs by working efficiently and effectively.
• Follow safety procedures and report non-compliance issues.
• Use resources effectively to complete tasks.
• Maintain vehicles and fleet assets according to company and DVSA standards.
• Assist in liaising with Transport and Logistics departments regarding vehicle availability.
• Utilize sub-contractors effectively.
• Perform any other VMU duties as required.

What we would like from you:

• City and Guilds LGV Qualifications or relevant equivalent in LGV Vehicle Crafts
• LGV Licence C E
• Previous experience in LGV Fleet maintenance
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
