Job summary

Pertemps Warrington is recruiting an HGV Technician for a permanent, full-time role in Warrington. The salary is £20.00 to £23.00 per hour depending on experience, and you will work both independently and as part of a professional team to ensure all vehicles operate safely.

Duties include routine servicing, diagnostics and MOT preparation, plus repairs to brakes, suspension and steering. Requirements: full UK driving licence; DVSA compliance knowledge; NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds desirable; strong

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent record-keeping for maintenance and servicing.
• Full UK Driving licence is required; HGV licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Duties of an HGV Technician

Requirements of an HGV Technician

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance requirements.
• NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds would be desirable.
• A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• HGV licence is desirable but not essential.

Hours of work

Week 1 - Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00

Week 2 - Monday to Thursday 14:00 - 22:00 & Friday 14:00 - 20:00

Alternative Saturdays 06:00 - 12:00 (paid at time and a half)
