Job summary

Pertemps North West and North Wales is seeking a Motor Vehicle Technician (HGV) in Warrington (WA3). The role covers routine servicing, diagnostics, and MOT preparation in line with DVSA standards. You will work with a well-established team on a permanent basis, with overtime opportunities and a structured, stable workload.

The ideal candidate has HGV technician experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a full UK driving licence. HGV licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance requirements.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• HGV licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections in line with DVSA standards.
• Complete repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, and other general maintenance.
• Accurately complete job cards and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
