Job summary

Perfect Placement is recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician at Trafford Park to join a leading dealer group. You will maintain and repair heavy vehicles to manufacturer standards and complete warranty and contract paperwork.

The role offers a challenging environment with career progression and dedicated training. Ideal candidates will have City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Maintenance, proven HGV experience, and a valid UK driving licence; LGV/PSV is a plus.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance.
• Proven experience in servicing, repairing, and maintaining HGVs.
• Manufacturer training or current technical knowledge (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence; LGV/PSV licence advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail with an organised and methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trucks, lorries, and other heavy commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose faults, conduct tests, and perform scheduled servicing and repairs.
• Complete all necessary paperwork for warranty, retail, and contract work as a HGV Technician.
• Deliver high-quality service to customers within classified service areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise customer vehicle downtime.
