Rocket Staffing Group Ltd is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to service a busy fleet in Stockport. You'll perform major and minor repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and manage workshop inventory while ensuring high safety and quality standards.

The role requires relevant Level 3/HV maintenance qualifications, prior workshop experience, and a valid UK driving licence. An HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is highly desirable, with DVSA/VOSA standards knowledge advantageous.

Competenze

• Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
• Previous workshop experience preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence; an HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of DVSA inspection standards and VOSA procedures.

Mansioni

• Performing major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles in the company fleet.
• Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes.
• Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
• Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
• Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled.
• Providing repair services to clients on the road in case of emergencies.

Location: Stockport Cheshire

Salary: £21 to £24 per hour

Overtime: time and half

Shift Timings: Earlys then following week lateshifts

Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
