Job summary

WR Engineering in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join its modern workshop on a permanent late shift. You will carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, diagnose faults with manufacturer systems, and perform vehicle inspections to ensure procedures meet manufacturer standards.

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence are required; an HGV licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence; HGV licence advantageous but not required.

• Diagnose faults using modern manufacturer diagnostic systems.
• Complete vehicle inspections, including MOT and tachograph checks.
• Ensure work is completed to manufacturer standards.
• Carry out final quality checks on repairs.
• Support and mentor less experienced technicians when required.

Permanent Late Shift

An established commercial vehicle dealer is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join its modern workshop in Shoreham-by-Sea.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and associated components
• Diagnose faults using modern manufacturer diagnostic systems
• Complete vehicle inspections, including MOT and tachograph-related checks
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and to manufacturer standards
• Carry out final quality checks on completed repairs
• Support and mentor less experienced technicians when required

Requirements

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Relevant technical qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• HGV licence is advantageous but not essential
• Own toolkit
