Job summary

White-Recruitment in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a modern workshop. You will service, maintain and repair a range of heavy commercial vehicles, using diagnostic equipment to identify faults.

The role offers a salary of £35,000–£45,000 per annum or up to £23 per hour, plus ongoing training, pension and long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Relevant technical qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• HGV licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Own toolkit

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and associated components
• Diagnose faults using modern manufacturer diagnostic systems
• Complete vehicle inspections, including MOT and tachograph-related checks
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and to manufacturer standards
• Carry out final quality checks on completed repairs
• Support and mentor less experienced technicians when required

An established commercial vehicle dealer is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join its modern workshop in Shoreham-by-Sea.

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of heavy commercial vehicles, using the latest diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.

• Diagnose faults using modern manufacturer diagnostic systems
• Complete vehicle inspections, including MOT and tachograph-related checks
