Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is hiring an HGV/PSV Technician for night shifts in Southall. You will join a modern workshop to service, repair and diagnose a large PSV fleet, upholding safety and reliability standards.

The role offers a permanent contract with a 4 on/4 off nights pattern and a salary of £61,765 per year (£28.28 per hour). NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required; strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, PSV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing MOT preparation and vehicle inspections.
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA and company standards.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.

Location: Southall

Earn £61,765 per annum - £28.28 an hour for 4 on 4 off Nights

Are you an experienced HGV Technician, PSV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic looking for an excellent nights role with a leading public transport operator?

The Role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician

As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards. Working within a well-equipped workshop, you'll carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and inspections to minimise vehicle downtime.
