Job summary

Auto Skills UK is recruiting a PSV Technician to join a busy Bedfordshire workshop. You will service, maintain and repair a fleet of PSVs, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and complete DVSA-compliant inspections.

The role offers a Monday–Friday rotating shift pattern, a £53,000 basic salary and a clear path for career progression within a modern workshop. Applicants should have Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in PSV/HGV maintenance and prior PSV/HGV/LCV experience; PSV licence is

Qualifications

• Level 3 City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification in PSV or HGV Maintenance.
• Experience as PSV Technician, HGV Technician or LCV Technician.
• PSV licence advantageous but not essential.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a fleet of PSVs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed to DVSA and manufacturer standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.
• Work collaboratively to maximise vehicle availability and reliability.

Hours: Rotating Shifts

• Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
• Week 2: Monday to Friday, 11:00am - 9:00pm
• 1 in 4 weeks call-out rota during late shift
