Job summary

Boughey Logistics is seeking an experienced HGV/LGV Technician to maintain, inspect and repair our LGV fleet in our workshop. You will work on DVSA-standard servicing and safety checks, ensuring roadworthiness and peak performance. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

The role offers 4 on/4 off shifts (7am–7pm), weekly pay at £23.29/hour, and progression opportunities within the group. Training funded and extensive lifestyle benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV / LGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or IRTEC).
• Proven experience working with LGVs in a workshop environment.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle electronics and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine safety inspections, servicing, all repairs and defect rectification to DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete all maintenance and repair record sheets.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals efficiently.
• Work in a professional, logical and safe manner at all times, keeping the work area safe, clean and tidy.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated HGV/ LGV Technician to join our dynamic workshop team to replace our colleague who is retiring after many years of service. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of our fleet of LGVs to ensure they remain roadworthy, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Day to Day

What will you bring?

• Fully qualified HGV / LGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or IRTEC).
• Proven experience working with LGVs in a workshop environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle electronics and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence (C&E License advantageous but not essential).
• Ability to adhere to strict maintenance schedules and deadlines.
• Possess strong attention to detail and able to complete relevant paperwork and documentation.
