Job summary

Kemp Recruitment is recruiting an HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle business. The role is based in EH49, Scotland, on a Monday to Friday 7:00am–5:00pm shift with up to 10 hours overtime available.

You will service, diagnose and repair Scania and Volvo HGVs, ensuring high quality workmanship and safety checks. Time-served technicians or fully qualified HGV technicians are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or time-served experience is essential.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are required.
• Good knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing inspections and safety checks.
• Carrying out repairs to HGVs and associated equipment.
• Working on Scania and Volvo vehicles.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
• Supporting the wider workshop team when required.

Salary: Up to £25 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm

About the Role

Kemp Recruitment are currently working with a well-established commercial vehicle business who are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for either a fully qualified HGV Technician or an experienced time-served Technician looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with excellent earning potential.

You will be working on a modern fleet of Scania and Volvo HGVs, carrying out a wide range of maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repair work.

The Role

As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Completing inspections and safety checks
• Carrying out repairs to HGVs and associated equipment
• Working on Scania and Volvo vehicles
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
• Supporting the wider workshop team when required

About You

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician
• Either a recognised HGV qualification or strong time-served experience
• Good knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
• Experience working on HGVs
• Class 2 licence desirable but not essential
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
