Job summary

My client is a fleet maintenance company based in Leeds seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their team. You will perform maintenance, repairs and modifications on a fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring fault analysis and pre-MOT preparation are completed to a high standard.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8am-6.30pm with 1 in 2 Saturday mornings; overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours. Competitive salary (£49,530 basic) and on-site parking are included.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
• Qualified with City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet to high standards in line with safety requirements.
• Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and trailers; provide technical support from fault analysis through to pre-MOT prep and full vehicle overhauls.
• General HGV Technician duties.

About your new HGV Technician role

• You will provide technical work to the highest standards in line with strict health and safety requirements
• You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to pre-MOT prep and full vehicle overhauls.

The successful HGV Technician will require

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of HGV's and Trailers
• The successful HGV Technician must be a fully skilled with industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician
