Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd in Barnsley is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our team. This is a Monday-to-Friday role with a rotating shift pattern and a competitive salary between £46,467 and £54,500 per annum.

You will service, maintain and repair a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles and plant, with opportunities to work on trailers and units across varying environments. Overtime is available at 1.5x and there is job stability within a varied fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience working on HGVs or similar commercial vehicles.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship.

• Reliable and safety-conscious in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of a varied fleet of vehicles and equipment.
• Work across HGV units, trailers and plant.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
• Carry out routine servicing and inspections.
• Complete repairs efficiently to a high standard.
• Perform safety inspections and defect rectification.
• Work on braking, suspension, steering and other systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.

Shift: Monday to Friday | Rotating shiftsMonday to Friday - 7:00am - 3:30pm /Monday to Friday - 12:00pm - 8:30pm

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join the team in Barnsley.

The Role

• As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of a varied fleet of commercial vehicles and equipment.
• You'll have the opportunity to work across HGV units, trailers and plant
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HGVs, trailers and plant
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Carrying out routine servicing and inspections
• Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Carrying out safety inspections and defect rectificationDiagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
• Working on braking, suspension, steering and other vehicle systems
• Carrying out maintenance and repairs on a varied fleet of trailers and units
• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements
• Completing relevant maintenance and inspection documentation accurately
