Royal Mail is seeking a qualified HGV Vehicle Technician for its Leeds workshop. Join the UK's largest fleet operator, maintaining a varied fleet of HGVs and commercial vehicles with a comprehensive training plan and excellent pension benefits.

The role offers a 39.5 hour week, overtime potential, and shift allowances on night and mid-shift patterns. You will perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs across HGVs, with access to specialist tools in a modern workshop.

Competenze

• IMI Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.

Are you a qualified HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Vehicle Technician looking for your next opportunity in Leeds? Join Royal Mail, the UK's largest fleet operator, and work in a modern commercial vehicle workshop maintaining a varied fleet of HGVs and commercial vehicles.

We're recruiting a Level 3 qualified HGV Vehicle Technician at our Leeds Workshop, with the potential to earn £75,000+ including overtime.

Working Hours: Full time - Average of 39.5 hours per week over the 6 week shift pattern including a 30 minute unpaid meal break rotating shift pattern;

• Week 1 – 06:00 – 15:00 Wednesday to Sunday
• Week 2 – 06:00 – 15:00 Monday to Friday
• Week 3 – 13:00 – 22:00 Monday to Friday
• Week 4 – 06:00 – 15:00 Monday to Wednesday and 06:00 until 15:00 Saturday and Sunday
• Week 5 – 06:00 – 15:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 until 10:00 Friday
• Week 6 – 21:30 – 06:00 Monday to Thursday

Whilst there is some flexibility in relation to non-working days, these must be agreed with the workshop manager at the point of appointment and will be subject to operational requirements.

What you'll need as an HGV Vehicle Technician

• Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Heavy vehicle maintenance or equivalent). You’ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Varied vehicle experience: Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Vehicle Technician, with experience maintaining and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.
• Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
• High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
• Flexible to service demands: you’re able to work on a flexible shift rota. You’re always willing to support your team where necessary.
