Job summary

Kemp Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician in Leeds to join a busy fleet maintenance team. You will diagnose faults, perform maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy goods vehicles and trailers, and ensure work meets health and safety standards.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturday mornings, salary £49,530 basic, and on-site parking. Overtime available at 1.5x after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
• Qualified with City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle service.
• Previous HGV Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical work to high standards in line with health and safety.
• Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet and provide technical support from fault analysis through to pre-MOT prep and full vehicle overhauls.

Location: Leeds
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-6.30pm -£19.05 per hour
1 in 2 Saturday Mornings

About your new HGV Technician role

• You will provide technical work to the highest standards in line with strict health and safety requirements
• You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to pre-MOT prep and full vehicle overhauls.
• General HGV Technician duties

The successful HGV Technician will require

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of HGV's and Trailers
• The successful HGV Technician must be a fully skilled with industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician
