Job summary

Veolia is seeking a HGV Technician in Dover. The role offers 40 hours per week with a salary up to £45,635, plus Veolia benefits and a sign-on bonus of £3,000. You’ll join a fleet with over 100 vehicle types and play a pivotal role in keeping vehicles on the road for millions of customers.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent.
• Hold a HGV driving licence.
• Willing to upskill if needed; opportunity for training after joining.

Responsibilities

• Service, MOT preparation and repairs of our HGVs.
• Keep HGVs on the road so street side operatives can work.
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections, maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet and 3rd party vehicles and plant per standards.
• Ensure all paperwork and time sheets are completed accurately.
• Attend roadside breakdowns when required.

What you'll be doing;

• You will be responsible for the day to day service, MOT preparation and repairs of our HGV's.
• You will keep our HGV's safely on the road, so our street side operatives can carry out their duties for our millions of customers.
• Responsible for carrying out routine vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, fault finding and repairs to ensure our fleet is reliable, available and safe.
• Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet, 3rd party vehicles and plant in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork, and time sheets are completed accurately.
• Attend roadside breakdowns when required.

What we're looking for;

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent.
• Hold a HGV driving licence.
• If you are a skilled or semi-skilled Technician we'd still love to hear from you. We can provide upskilling and develop you further once you've started with us.
