Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join a busy logistics operation in Derbyshire. The position offers night shifts on a 4 on 4 off cycle, from 6:30pm to 6:30am, with a pay rate of £18.75 per hour.

Overtime is paid at £28.12 per hour after 9.6 hours per shift. Regular weekly pay and free on-site parking are provided, with a long-term opportunity with a well-established logistics company.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving or shunting experience is desirable.
• Good understanding of transport legislation and health & safety.
• Reliable with a positive attitude and excellent timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Safely shunting trailers around the yard.
• Moving vehicles between loading bays and parking areas.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
