Job summary

Staffline is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter for Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The role runs 4 on 4 off from 18:00 to 06:00 and may include occasional driving duties, starting ASAP.

You will move trailers, perform vehicle checks, and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure smooth trailer flow. 2 years of C+E experience, a Digi card, and DCPC are preferred with no more than 6 points on your licence.

2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

We are currently seeking 1 x experienced Class 1 Shunter for our client in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The position is 4 on 4 off 18:00 - 06:00 and will be starting ASAP. The role will mainly be shunting but sometimes driving duties may be required.

PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:

Your Time at Work

• As an HGV Class 1 Shunter/Driver, you will be responsible for all aspects of safe and efficient movement and positioning of vehicles within a controlled site environment and depot to depot trunking work.
• Safely moving HGVs/trailers around the yard or site.
• Positioning trailers for loading/unloading.
• Carrying out vehicle checks (pre-use and defect reporting).
• Coordinating with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth trailer flow.
• Following site safety procedures and traffic management rules.
• Depot to depot trunking

Our Perfect Worker

As an experienced HGV1 Shunter, you will ideally have -

• 2 years C+E experience
• Happy with trunking duties
• No more than 6 points
• Digi card and DCPC
