Job summary

Streamline Search is seeking an On-Site HGV Refrigeration Engineer in Rotherham to maintain and service refrigerated vehicles. You will ensure refrigeration units operate to a high standard across a growing fleet.

The role requires hands-on experience with refrigerated vehicles, F-Gas certification, fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently. Permanent on-site position with flexible hours and 28 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers and vans.
• F-Gas certification or equivalent refrigeration qualification.
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose issues independently.

Responsibilities

Job Title: HGV Refrigeration Engineer

Location: Rotherham
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience (£35,000 - £45,000)
Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible

We are currently recruiting for an On-Site Fridge Engineer / Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join an established transport and logistics operation with a fleet of 50+ HGVs and trailers, including refrigerated vehicles.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the company's refrigerated vehicles operational and ensuring refrigeration units are maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers and vans
• Diagnosing and repairing refrigeration faults
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Working on fridge/freezer units across the commercial vehicle fleet
• Identifying mechanical and refrigeration issues and resolving them efficiently
• Helping minimise vehicle downtime across the fleet

About You

We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and has practical experience working with refrigerated vehicles or refrigeration systems.

• Previous experience as a Fridge Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer or Transport Refrigeration Engineer
• Experience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers or vans
• F-Gas certification or relevant refrigeration gas qualification
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability
• A practical, hands-on approach
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
