Job summary

Oyster Recruitment Ltd on behalf of our client is seeking an experienced Mobile Service Engineer for transport refrigeration on vehicles. You will work independently across customer sites, ensuring equipment operates reliably.

Key tasks include servicing and fault-finding on refrigeration systems, installation and commissioning, and keeping precise records. A full UK driving licence and willingness to cover nights and weekends are essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair transport refrigeration systems.
• Carry out installations, commissioning, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and refrigeration faults.
• Maintain accurate job records and complete paperwork using PDA systems.
• Manage van stock, tools and equipment effectively.

Are you an experienced Refrigeration, Air Conditioning Engineer or mechanic with experience working on commercial refrigeration, vehicle systems, or transport refrigeration equipment?

Our client is a well-established provider of transport refrigeration equipment is looking for an experienced Mobile Service Engineer to join their team.

This is a hands on role suited to an engineer who enjoys working independently, visiting customer sites, and keeping equipment operating reliably. You will work on a range of vehicle powered refrigeration systems, carrying out preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installations and commissioning, while ensuring customers receive a professional and responsive service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair transport refrigeration systems
• Carry out installations, commissioning, and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and refrigeration faults
• Maintain accurate job records and complete relevant paperwork using PDA systems
• Manage van stock, tools and equipment effectively

Who They're Looking For:

• F Gas 2079 and refrigerant handling qualifications - desirable
• Experience with electrical systems, including three phase
• Mechanical experience with engines, compressors, and hydraulics
• Refrigeration fault finding and diagnostic experience - desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Participation in an on call rota, including nights and weekends
