Job summary

Streamline Search Ltd in Rotherham is seeking an experienced On-Site HGV Refrigeration Engineer to maintain refrigerated vehicles across our fleet and ensure units operate to a high standard.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, fault diagnosis, and the ability to complete service records. This permanent, on-site position includes flexible working arrangements and 28 days' holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers or vans.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
• Capable of completing maintenance paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers and vans.
• Diagnosing and repairing refrigeration faults.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspections.

Salary: GBP40000 - GBP45000 per annum

Location: Rotherham
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience £40,000 - £45,000
Hours: 07:00 – 16:00

We are currently recruiting for an On-Site Fridge Engineer / Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join an established transport and logistics operation with a fleet of 50+ HGVs and trailers, including refrigerated vehicles.

HGVRefrigeration Engineer - The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the company's refrigerated vehicles operational and ensuring refrigeration units are maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities:

• Servicing and maintaining refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers and vans
• Diagnosing and repairing refrigeration faults
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Working on fridge/freezer units across the commercial vehicle fleet
• Identifying mechanical and refrigeration issues and resolving them efficiently
• Completing service sheets, maintenance records and relevant paperwork
• Keeping accurate records of repairs, servicing and parts used
• Ensuring all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date
• Helping minimise vehicle downtime across the fleet

We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and has practical experience working with refrigerated vehicles or refrigeration systems.

• Experience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers or vans

• Good attention to detail when recording work carried out
